Our 2019 Events !

March 24th – Dennys Coffee pour for Lions Gate Hospital

Sunday March 24th our off duty firefighters will be pouring coffee at Denny’s North Van from 9-2. We attend this event every year to help Denny’s raise money for Lions Gate Hospital. They will donate proceeds from coffee sales for the day. Come out to say hi, have something to eat and of course grab a coffee. See you there!

April 6th – Cobs Bread “Hot Cross Fun Day”

Come join us at the Parkgate village Cobs bread from 10-2pm for their annual Hot Cross Fun day with all proceeds donated directly to our society.

A night of personal discussion of dealing with mental health from a group of diverse and unique individuals at the Blueshore Financial Theatre Capilano University, June 7th. Featuring Shea Emery former CFL linebacker, Mercedes Nicolls former Olympian, Casey Jo Loos Peak radio host, Jack.org students speakers

June 8th – 4th Annual Barn Burner  – Click for more info and Tickets!

The Barn Burner is a fundraising concert featuring Canadian rock ’n roll legends and local talent, including Rich Hope and his Evil Doers, Barney Bentall, Odds, and exciting new additions this year—to be announced
soon!
All proceeds from the Barn Burner will benefit Jack.org and their programs to support youth mental health along the North Shore and Sea to Sky corridor.

September 20th – Fire Fishing Derby – Click for more info!

All proceeds from our annual Fire Fishing Derby benefit The Seymour Salmonid Society, and Athletics 4 Kids

October – Muscular Dystrophy boot drive

One of our longest running annual initiatives.  Firefighters have been partnered with Muscular Dystrophy Canada across the country since the 1950’s!  Please help out when you see out members out in public shaking the boot for MD!

November – Pumpkin Drop

After Halloween remember to come down to our fire training facility to drop and smash your pumpkins from 3-4 stories up our training and hose tower!   Our Annual event is growing each year with many repeat customers and many smiles.  All pumpkin material is composted after the event.

December – Holiday Hi-Lite Festival at Park and Tilford Gardens

In December we team up with our friends in the City of NV Fire charitable and host the annual Hi-Lite festival at Park and Tilford Gardens.

Proceeds from the event support the BCPFFA Fund, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, BC Cancer drivers, and more.

Come down to enjoy the lights and meet our hosts.  On Fridays there will be fire truck rides for kids and possible visits from Santa!

December – Bright Nights at Stanley Park

The BCPFF Burn Fund annually puts on Bright Nights at Stanley Park. Every year we are happy to support them with setup, hosting, and teardown duties.

Come join us to enjoy the lights, miniature train ride, and festivities.
